21ST CENTURY HEIST

6529 MEME CARD

NFT Edition of 1,111

Sold out in 60 seconds

Season 2, Card 6, #60

PIECE DESCRIPTION:

The concept behind this piece was originally thought up when I was in discussion with a friend in 2022 about how might a heist on an NFT gallery go down. Around the time was when galleries were popping up all around America and Europe hosting these screens mounted on the walls with artwork from artists all around the globe.

In the piece is a zebra-fied derivative of XCOPY, a famous and notorious NFT artist who has been practicing in the fungible token space since 2017, with some of his pieces fetching up to the millions for a singular digital token

I was thinking about how the average criminal may not know that the value of the NFT is not what is displayed on the screen, but rather the provenance of the token which is not able to be stolen quite as easy

This piece was released January 2023 as a part of the 6529 Meme Card collection which is a very large and highly regarded artwork collective in the NFT space. Hidden within the artwork is numerous easter eggs which are only visible when viewed via the Metadata which is linked below.

In the artwork was a hidden seed phrase which contained one of my original artworks and an edition of this card (Which at time of mint, secondary value was $600).
